Hot and Saucy Shrimp

Ingredients

1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup chili sauce
1/2 cup catsup
1/3 cup fresh-squeezed lemon juice
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons GravyMaster®
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon Tabasco® sauce
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 tablespoon dark brown sugar, packed to measure
1 lemon, cut into wedges
2 pounds large shrimp (20 to 32) shelled and deveined

Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine all ingredients except shrimp; mix.
  2. Put shrimp into a zip-lock plastic bag.
  3. Add marinade and close bag.
  4. Refrigerate 24 hours.
  5. Remove shrimp from marinade.
  6. Thread on skewers with lemon.
  7. Broil 4 to 5 inches from heat source for 3 to 5 minutes, turning frequently until shrimp are done. Do not overcook.
  8. Serve immediately. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
